15 March 12
Crow's feet. I took this because I'm trying hard not to be too vain as I get older, but it's difficult when being young and beautiful seems to be the main thing society values in women. When people say a man looks good for fifty, they generally mean he is a fit and well-groomed middle-aged man. When people say a woman looks good for fifty, they generally mean she looks younger than fifty. Why is it only acceptable for men to age? Why aren't scads of men buying eye creams or cellulite gels or dyeing their hair well into their senior citizen discount years? Why are women expected to delay the process of getting older as much as possible?
