we had a pretty serious incident with Kenny so I took the day off work. In the evening my parents wanted to get out of the house so Jeff and I took them to Six Acres for dinner. You shouldn't always use booze & food as coping mechanisms, but I figure once in awhile is okay.

I stayed home again, because although I felt mostly better, I was still weak from not eating (and probably still contagious). I ate some toast and peanut butter with banana, some applesauce, some rice. No coffee, as badly as I wanted some. Jeff had the day off so we spent the evening watching Inglourious Basterds together.

This is what Mom and I left Powell's with.
In the evening we went to a majestic beer store that Sarah knew I would like, and then we had the most incredible vegan dinner at Portobello. I thought Maddie was going to cry with joy.

We spent the morning lounging by the pool, the afternoon wandering around Downtown Disney, and then went to the Boardwalk for dinner at Kouzzina, a Greek place with a celebrity chef. It was an absolutely lovely experience and we all got nicely sauced (and continued upon our return to the hotel).

Work was pretty boring, so I came home at 2:30. Jeff and I sat in the backyard reading books and drinking beer, and then we had bbq for dinner.

Jeff and I ate pizza at Goldie's, and then went to Six Acres for dessert. I can't help it— every time I go there I take a picture of the menus.

It was super hot out, so I bought beer on the way back from work (and cracked one open on the walk home), and Sarah and Steph were already sitting out in the yard. We sat out drinking and chatting and ordered in some sushi, and then when Sarah and Steph had other things to do, I read my book until it got too dark and cool.

I was craving poutine so I convinced Jeff to meet me at Six Acres for food & drink.
