It was Iain's last night in town and he stayed at our place. Steph joined us for an evening of eating pizza and playing Apples to Apples.

This is at the place where I get waxed. Afterwards I met Iain and friends for karaoke at the Legion on Main. We got there early enough that no one bothered us at the door, but everyone else was really hassled about not having a membership. I think we may have to start invading the Old Admiral's karaoke night instead... the beer may be more expensive, but at least no one will ask us to pay $35 in order to drink there.

I got a new mouse for Christmas! The scroll button on my old one had been broken for months, and the tracking was starting to go too. It's pretty amazing to scroll again without using the arrow keys. Also, look how cute it is!

Day 9: Hollywood Studios, on what was quite possibly the hottest day there ever was. In the morning Alice and I rode the Hollywood Towers drop ride, and we went to see the Beauty and the Beast stage adaptation, which was lovely. Later we took a boat to Boardwalk to eat at that brew pub for lunch, mostly so we could sit in the air conditioning away from small children for as long as propriety would allow. We did get to go on the Toy Story ride thanks to the magic of fastpasses, though.

Day 7: we spent the morning and early afternoon doing laundry and waiting for the thunderstorm to gtfo, and then went to Downtown Disney. There was this big dinosaur thing and a lineup to get inside so we couldn't be buggered to find out what the deal was. Later we went to an Irish pub where I smashed both my knee and elbow on the way into the booth, but then I drank 4 kinds of beer so it was ok.

I got this awhile ago on ebay, but I basically fail at being a hipster because I have no idea if my photos are even going to turn out. I'm on my second roll and I still don't seem to have any clue what the hell I'm doing. You know the little window that shows you how many exposures you have left? Yeah, unless 9/5 is a proper number, or 2s are often upside down, I must be doing it wrong.

The adaptor for Jeff's monitor swivel mount came, so he was so excited to finally get the thing up. Unfortunately, the pieces didn't fit, so he used a broken hacksaw to cut them down to size. He came up from the basement in goggles and welding gloves with a beer in one hand and a screwdriver in the other, saying, "Is this really how I spend my Friday nights?"

I used my Rogers upgrade to get an iPhone for $100. Then Steph and I hung out and watched Across the Universe, but mostly we talked through it and she showed me stuff to do on my new phone.

Christmas Eve was spent watching Futurama and eating chili with Steph while we waited for Jeff to get home from work. This is the pile of presents and crap waiting by the door to come with us. My family went to 11pm mass so we arrived at their place before they did. Then we watched (read: sat in front of while talking loudly) How the Grinch Stole Christmas and went to bed.
