sunburst
Day three of the wine tour: Okanagan Falls/Naramata. We visited a few new wineries as well as a couple of favourites from last year to replenish stock. I particularly enjoyed Blasted Church and Nichol, of the new places. We didn't have time to make it to any Summerland wineries, unfortunately, but we did have a moderately delicious late lunch at what seemed to be the only pub in Penticton open on Sunday.
Somewhere along Highway 1 between Chilliwack and Abbotsford, I managed to snap a photo out the car window of the sun shining through the clouds. We arrived home not too terribly late, with three cases of wine between the two of us.

23 December 11

package
We had a few people over to exchange gifts and watch two different versions of A Christmas Carol: a musical version from the 70s, and the Muppets one.

shadow
It was my birthday. I became older. I was also still sick and had to go to work. I didn't mind just sitting at home and relaxing alone in the evening after an eventful weekend.

french lavender
I moved my lavender outside because it hasn't quite been the same since it got knocked over, and it was taking up a lot of windowsill space. It seems to be doing better out on the front stoop.

mother dough
In California Adventure there is a restaurant that is also a bread factory! I took this picture of the mother sourdough because it looks like a nursery of sleeping bread babies.
Jeff and Alice and I rode the fantastic coaster and the Hollywood Tower Hotel, my favourite ride ever. Then we had dinner at the Rainforest Café for some reason and we all thought our waiter's name was something completely different. (His name was actually Chad, not David or Mike or Jason.)

shampoo aisle
We are preparing for inventory at work. I spent a good chunk of the afternoon sorting and condensing the shampoo aisles in the fourth floor stockroom. Honestly, I even amaze myself with my organizational skills sometimes.

ghost bowling
Steph's birthday happened at Rev's in Burnaby. I didn't bowl, but I did have a good time talking to everyone and drinking Pilsner and taking ghost bowling photos, like this one of Lucas.

Day 2: Magic Kingdom. I clearly did not ride these because I do not like vomiting, but I enjoy the lighting and colours in this.

10 July 10

Our first day at the parks; we went to Epcot. This was in an ocean-themed exhibit (obviously heavily influenced by Finding Nemo). I'll have a full set of photos from the trip up soon, so I'll post a link eventually.

The new-ish City Centre on the Strip. It's ridiculously, unnecessarily huge, like many things in Vegas.

under my umbrella
Near the palado where we sat for most of the day, eating delicious things, drinking beer, reading books, and swimming in the delightfully warm ocean.

tv love
In the morning before leaving for work the light coming through the window made me notice our tv badly needed dusting :/ After work I got to see the lovely MaryAnne for sushi, kisses, wanderings, and good conversation (as per usual).

I saw this on the railing when I went outside to grab the recycling bin.

13 November 09

I went with Dennis to the Astoria for the Prohab Helmet Society's calendar release party. Music was decent, drinks were cheap, and there were CUTE GIRLS EVERYWHERE. I bought a calendar of course, because it combines two things I love - bikes and lovely ladies!

I bought a thing to put my earrings in so that they don't just live in little plastic bags on my dresser anymore. Hooray for organisation!

We went on a wine tour in the Okanagan. This is at Burrowing Owl, just north of Osoyoos.
