I went out to Point Grey to visit Liang at her friend's, where she staying in order to look after four adorable foster kittens!

Jeff and I met up for dinner at Brix, a restaurant & wine bar I remembered by its mystical garden appearance and not name so it took a little wandering to find it. It has a lovely courtyard (as seen above) that we sat in as we shared a bottle of wine and ate a bunch of delicious food, and went home a bit poorer and rather tipsy.

Mal hosted a clothes swap, though the only people who showed were ourselves, Ash, and Allie, so it was mostly just the two of us trading femme clothes and the two of them trading butch clothes. Afterwards we sat out in the yard for a bit, having nachos & beer and talking. Ash works as a landscaper, and in the photo above she is collecting lavender flowers off some excess plants she trimmed in someone's yard.

On the way home I was near Tamara's apartment, so I decided to see if she wanted to hang out. We sat in the park with her dog for a bit until some creepy dude decided to come sit down with us and then we went inside to escape. Later she walked with me down to Hastings to catch the bus and on the way I got delicious samosas & pakora from Deserts to eat for dinner while I watched Silver Linings Playbook, which was surprisingly impressive.

Played records, drank gin & tonics, did laundry dyed my hair, made relish, watched The Twilight Zone.

I went outside to garden a bit and I could hear music coming from the PNE amphitheatre, which turned out to be City and Color. I hung out outside for awhile after I finished weeding, and was visited by some of the neighbourhood cats.

Jeff met me after work for a beer and a pretzel at Bitter, and then we went to Calabash for a delicious dinner (and another round of drinks).

More BBQ times: grilled mushrooms & asparagus, chili-cinnamon rubbed sirloin with honey-chili sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and greens from the garden with chickpeas & homemade dressing.
