Wine tour day 3: setting off the smoke alarm in the hotel room cooking bacon, driving the back road to the far side of the lake, dogs, good wine, awful wine, willow trees, parking lot sandwiches, flash rainstorms, high elevations, three full cases of bottles, rushing home to watch Game of Thrones.

Wine tour day 2: homemade (well, hotel room-made) breakfast, lying on the grass at Church & State, feeling fancy at Le Vieux Pin, rendezvousing with Mal, Bronwen, and Lindsay for dinner, taking a beer break, being driven inside due to a rainstorm, all of us sharing old high school photos while drinking wine in the hotel room.

Got ID'd at the liquor store buying gin and sweet vermouth. What kind of minor would be purchasing those? Later I made a marinade for the cookoff the next day, cooked myself some dinner, and settled in for an evening of shopping for new earrings and watching The Twilight Zone.
