30 January 09

We had a hell of a time getting the cork out of this wine bottle - called the hotel desk and they brought one up and then it didn't work so Jeff took it downstairs to use the one from the bar.
I actually took some ok photos (not this one), but most of them involve naked Jeff and I promised him I wouldn't post his penis on the internet.

Even though I did lots of stuff today, I forgot to take pictures of it. So I took a picture of our half-packed suitcase - tomorrow as soon as I'm done school we're leaving for Victoria.

Jeff's sister, Natalie, flew in from Korea today for her wedding this weekend. She gave us a bottle of Soju, in this ridiculous and creepy bottle. It is amazing.

Tonight after watching Saved! at Out on Campus, Jeff and I had sushi at Toyotomi on Hastings & Gilmore and then walked home.

I forgot to take a photo until just now. So you get this gay crap.

25 January 09

I walked over 4km today around my neighbourhood. The damned Port of Vancouver kept getting in the way.

24 January 09

Yesterday me and all my siblings went to my dad's for food and booze and belated Christmas gifts. I laughed until my face and stomach hurt, as I usually do when I hang out with my family.

This photo makes me long for summer, with skies like this but temperatures that permit me to not wear a coat.

I like the little white hairs at his temples. I think they're classy, like Reed Richards. :D

The blanket of fog over the city persists. SFU continues to be the only place I ever see any sun.

This is Jesse's alligator friend. He lives on top of the new couch. The old couch, sadly, is sitting in our front yard because apparently 'free' is too high a price for people to pay for a used couch.

18 January 09

Jeff and I went to his friends' Chris and Kristina's place last night for port wine and baked Alaska (the latter of which I had never tried before). Their cat seemed to want to be around everyone, but didn't particularly want to be touched.

I forfeited going out drinking and dancing with queers because I was so friggin tired. Instead I sat in the bath with my book and a scotch.

16 January 09

Me and my sister got pretty retarded drunk at Library Square (and later, Doolin's). Second- or third-worst hangover ever followed.

15 January 09

I got called in to work on my day off. Jeff, however, had a productive day organising the basement and making EXTREMELY DELICIOUS butter chicken.

14 January 09

It was sunny at SFU today because we were above the cloud line.

13 January 09

No interesting photos today because I spent basically all my waking hours isolated in the spare room doing math, with only brief interludes for food and sex. I am still not even quite done.

12 January 09

Most of the time in the fall/winter the atmosphere at my school resembles that of that movie The Mist. I like it, though. Incidentally, I was talking to someone at dinner last night who goes to UBC, and she told me, "I wish I went to SFU; UBC is so ugly!"

11 January 09

This morning the old roommates and I, along with some friends, went to Stella's on Commercial Drive for brunch to celebrate a new year of being free of our terrible old landlord. Breakfast beer is pretty great, especially if it's raspberry flavoured.
I also had breakfast steak.

I forgot about this jacket until I moved just recently. It was my Poppa's in the late 70s; I found it in a closet in our basement when I was 14 - I guess he'd given it to my dad. I wore it pretty much exclusively until I was about 19. It is so old and worn now that I almost never wear it for fear of it falling apart on my body, but I can't bear the though of getting rid of it.
