26 October 09

dead leaves and the creeping vines
Based on Jeff's advice, I am posting this photo of Franklin St, near the elementary school. But I also took this one, and I was pretty torn between the two, so you can go have a look at it if you want.

it's that time of year again
This photo sucks but I just had to share with you all how excited I am to be able to drink GI's Winter Ale while watching HOCKEY again! I think maybe it is good luck?

in the mystic land of Spare-oom

22 October 09

cold times --> giant sweatshirt
This is what happens when I hang out alone eating a lot of rice crackers.

21 October 09

We made cookies. Jeff was a little too excited for them to be done.

19 October 09

The first day we got our camera back. I had to charge up the battery so I didn't really do much with it except take a vanity shot.

16 September 09

tree of life
This is the day our camera died, so we missed out on a lot of good opportunities in the rest of the Museum of Natural History (that we saw - we were there for HOURS and barely finished a floor) and while walking the Brooklyn Bridge :(

15 September 09

the Dakota Building
The Dakota Building, where John Lennon lived (and died), and Yoko Ono still lives. It is beautiful and spooky.

14 September 09

half-lit at the Empire
I took a bajillion photos this day so there was more than one that I liked, but I think this one of Jeff at the Empire State Building is the most interesting.

13 September 09

no one dresses up to go to Broadway shows anymore
We went to see this on Broadway. It was clearly amazing but expensive, even though we got the half-price tickets. All my nice clothes were back at the hotel so I borrowed a skirt and tank of Natalie's. Jeff said it was weird seeing me in his sister's clothes.

125th St
Waiting for the Subway at 125th and Broadway, near our friend's apartment. Apparently this is the only above-ground station in Manhattan. Everywhere else is underground and sauna-like.

11 September 09

it's like the Cube
Jeff and I ended our afternoon in Seattle with patio beers before heading to the airport for our overnight flight to New York.

un-hiatus: SOON!

Got a call yesterday from Purolator - camera is fixed and waiting to be picked up... in Richmond? Wtf. Couldn't have just shipped it to the damn house, huh.
I am trying to convince Jeff to pick it up before work tomorrow, and then I will spend tomorrow night gleefully sorting/editing hundreds of New York photos before getting back on track with my dailies.
