Inside Chicago O'Hare, which was actually quite a nice airport. Though, we didn't have to check in there, which I imagine might make me like it less.
This concludes the vacation photos. If you're interested in viewing the full set, you can do so here.

Day 11: We went back to the Magic Kingdom for our last day, which was the first day I forgot to bring the camera. Later we got all dressed up and had dinner at California Grill in the Contemporary, which is expensive, delicious, and has an excellent view of the Magic Kingdom's fireworks display. This strawberry napoleon was one of the three desserts we tried.

Day 10: Epcot. It wasn't as hot (nor crowded), thank christ, so we were more ok with wandering around in the World Showcase. We did some shopping and met up with Alice's friend Lindsay, who managed to get us a table at Le Cellier - the steakhouse in the Canada section that normally has a 6-month-long waitlist for reservations. It was SO. FREAKING. GOOD.
these are my bros, chillin' in the fake Morocco, looking out at the fake Mexico.

Day 9: Hollywood Studios, on what was quite possibly the hottest day there ever was. In the morning Alice and I rode the Hollywood Towers drop ride, and we went to see the Beauty and the Beast stage adaptation, which was lovely. Later we took a boat to Boardwalk to eat at that brew pub for lunch, mostly so we could sit in the air conditioning away from small children for as long as propriety would allow. We did get to go on the Toy Story ride thanks to the magic of fastpasses, though.

Day 8: Magic Kingdom again, though we didn't get there until like two in the afternoon because we were so lazy. Also it was mega ridiculous kinds of hot so we basically just spent the time standing in as many air conditioned places as possible and taking turns with the mister fan when not possible. Later we went back to our resort for Mickey's Backyard Barbecue, which was the most lacklustre food we had on this trip, but it was worth it for the free beer and to watch all the little kids having the time of their lives dancing with the characters. After leaving the bbq my mom and I went for a drunken night swim in a pool that was basically like a warm bathtub.
This is my youngest brother Kenny, enjoying a post-ribs popsicle.

Day 7: we spent the morning and early afternoon doing laundry and waiting for the thunderstorm to gtfo, and then went to Downtown Disney. There was this big dinosaur thing and a lineup to get inside so we couldn't be buggered to find out what the deal was. Later we went to an Irish pub where I smashed both my knee and elbow on the way into the booth, but then I drank 4 kinds of beer so it was ok.

Day 6: Hollywood Studios, where we rode an amazing roller coaster, got caught in a thunderstorm, took a tour of the backlot, and ate one of the most amazing meals of my life at The Brown Derby.
This is one of the false building fronts on the streets they sometimes use as sets. I can't get enough of crumbling brick and other kinds of urban decay, whether real or false.

Day 5: no park admission this day, so we hung out at the pool and then went over to the Boardwalk Resort for dinner and fun times. We saw a sword swallower and bought too many baked goods, and ate dinner at a brew pub (the novelty of a brew pub in Disney World did not get old). This is my brother Travers, who is 17 and almost always looks great in photos.

Packing for summer trips is so much easier. I basically just grabbed a stack of each type of clothing and it all fit in the case! Unfortunately I don't think this suitcase will survive another trip on a plane; it's cracking at the seams. I guess I'll have to join the 21st century and get myself a roller bag.

I went to Steph's after work to watch Hot Tub Time Machine, and she was kind enough to pick up a frozen pizza for us to share. The oven was supposed to be preheated to 500° which was pretty alarming, but when we took the pizza out, it looked and smelled delicious. Unfortunately, the middle of the pizza had melded to the baking pan and no amount of poking at it with a spatula would remove it. So we ended up with a ring of crust and a pile of toppings. Fucking jerk pizza.

Canada Day. The weather was shitty and Jeff was at work, so to not fully waste my day I cleaned and did some rearranging of things. Jesse gave me this bookshelf he didn't want, so I set it up by the door with a bunch of stuff on top so that no one would start using it as a dumping ground for mail and things. I guess it does kind of look like a shrine.

It was interesting to visit this hotel after being in the real Manhattan. If you like, you can view the rest of my Las Vegas photos in the flickr album.
